Service Description
Service Overview: This is a short, cost-effective clinical hearing service that takes approximately 15 minutes. It includes: . Brief consultation to discuss your ear and hearing concerns . Visual inspection of the ears . Middle ear functioning test . Hearing screening of important speech sounds . Clinical overview of the findings and recommendations Additional Information: This service does not include medical reports or qualify for Medicare or private health insurance rebates. If you require a medical report or need to claim a rebate, please book the "Hearing Evaluation" service, which requires a medical referral. All medical referrals are welcome.
Cancellation Policy
INFORMATION: We appreciate your cooperation in respecting your time and our professional care schedule. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we kindly request that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. LATE CANCELLATION (< 24 hours): A 50% fee of the service cost will be charged. NO SHOW (failure to appear without prior notice): A 100% fee of the service cost will be charged. This policy is more stringent because the service provider has allocated time and resources reserved to you. PARKING: Car parking available at the building premises is limited and subject to availability. Street Parking is free for up to one hour. Some alternative Paid Parking Facilities are close by. The clinic is a 5-minute walk from the Warringah Mall and is on the route of the BLine service. EARWAX REMOVAL (Microsuction) service: We recommend using an earwax softener up to 2 days before your appointment.* Please note that if an earwax softener is required during your consultation, an additional fee of $5.00 will apply. In case the cerumen is particularly stubborn, you may be advised to use further earwax softener and return for another appointment or be referred for alternative removal methods. Fees apply. *Contraindications: the possibility of a non-intact tympanic membrane, ventilation tubes (grommets), and an active ear infection. HEARING EVALUATION for CHILDREN: We recommend scheduling morning appointments whenever possible. Mornings are typically when children are well-rested and more alert, which can result in more accurate test results. PRICING POLICIES: Our prices are subject to change without prior notice twice a year, in January and July. Additionally, starting on the 1st of July 2024, some service fees will include GST. To streamline your payment process, we offer the option to pay by cash, via direct deposit, or PayID after your consultation, thus avoiding an approximately 1.9% surcharge applied to all card payments.
